Special Populations/Disability Services

CareerServicesOgeechee Technical College established the disability services program to provide assistance to any individual with an appropriately documented disability who requests academic adjustments or auxiliary aids in the classroom or for testing while a student is here.

By definition, a disability that qualifies a student for accommodations in college is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities such as caring for one's self, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, or working. In order to verify that you have what can be considered a qualifying disability, we require official documentation of your condition. As a postsecondary institution, Ogeechee Technical College cannot accept IEPs or 504 Plans from high school to support the provision of academic adjustments.
